The Communication Accommodation is a recent program to Arizona. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation: If you have a disability that affects how you communicate, you can add a Communication Accommodation indicator to your MVD records. This helps law enforcement understand that you may respond differently during traffic stops or other interactions. Important to note: This indicator is completely voluntary and confidential. Only law enforcement can see it—it won't appear on your Motor Vehicle Record, driver license, or ID card.

You can add or remove the indicator at any time. It be can added online or in person if you need assistance.

The program is for disabled drivers but if you have a loved one with a disability that is frequently a passenger in your vehicle, you can notate that too!
