We ask all our partners the same questions. We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know our guest!
Please share your relationship to autism: Professional
What services does your organization provide? ABA and PEERs. Creative Therapy Solution serves ages 18 months to 18 years old.
What would you like to tell our audience about your organization? Creative Therapy Solution is an independent, mission-driven, BCBA-and women-owned, by Cristina Carlson- ABA therapy practice based in the Scottsdale area. We're not owned by a private equity group or a national chain — we're a local team that gets to make decisions based on what's actually best for the kids and families we serve, not a corporate playbook. This year we celebrated our 10-year anniversary, and what I'm proudest of is that our growth has never come at the expense of quality of care. Every family who walks through our doors is treated as a partner in their child's progress, not just a case on a schedule.
What motivates you to support the autism community? As Director of Operations, I'm not in session rooms every day, but I see the ripple effect of good systems: when scheduling runs smoothly, when a BCBA has the right caseload, when a family gets a clear answer instead of a runaround, that's time and energy given back to actual care. I'm motivated by knowing that the behind-the-scenes work I do directly shapes whether a child gets consistent, high-quality support and whether a family feels like they're truly being partnered with instead of processed. Watching kids reach milestones their families weren't sure were possible, and knowing our team helped build the conditions for that, is what keeps me invested in this work.
What advice would you give to someone new to their autism journey? Give yourself permission to go at your own pace, there's no single timeline you're supposed to be on, and comparing your journey to someone else's does not help. Find a care team that treats you or your child as a whole person, not just a diagnosis, and don't be afraid to ask questions or push back if something doesn't feel right; the right provider will welcome that. Progress in this field is rarely linear, so celebrate the small wins along the way because those add up to real, meaningful change over time. And know that you don't have to figure it out alone; lean on your care team, other families, and your community.
